Joshua McClain, is owner of McClain Missions LLC. Joshua is a young entrepreneur who is multi-talented singer, songwriter, and insurance agent. He came from a large family of nine siblings with a great mother and father who instilled God in him at a very young age and helped guide him through the journeys of life. His family taught him how to gain success from humble beginnings. Joshua says, “I am where I am today through the hard work and labor of my parents.”

 

For several years, Josh’s parents were insurance agents. They would take him with them to their clients’ homes. He remembered them writing so many policies through different carriers more than two decades ago. He learned a lot from them, though he faced challenges of his own when starting this carrier. He desired to be his own boss and create his own hours. He wanted to be flexible and create a legacy for him and his family.

Josh has had the awesome opportunity to work from home for thirteen years; and he has gained substantial knowledge on running his own business. Josh shares, “One of the challenges I had when I first started pursuing this career was passing my state examination. I went back and forth to class studying material over and over.  Robert Scott, who teaches the state licensing course for Missisippi encouraged me to look beyond the text and learn the terms for the insurance. Once I learned the meaning of the terms I mastered the test just as he assured me I would.”

 

Josh has taken that advice and advanced tremendously in his career as an insurance agent and entrepreneur. He has a heart for community and is passionate about being able to provide for his family. Joshua currently resides in Flowood, Mississippi with his beautiful wife Stephanie of 17 years and their two daughters.
